Pieter Nieuwenhuizen

Pieter Nieuwenhuizen has been practicing corporate law for over 15 years, with a strong focus on insolvency law. He also practices financial law. He focuses mainly on litigating and advising on enforcement of security rights, insolvency proceedings, directors' liability and financial products.

He has strong analytical skills and numerical understanding. Advocating in the courtroom and getting good results for his clients is what he enjoys most.

He studied law at Radboud University Nijmegen and completed the Insolvency Law Specialization Course (Grotius Academy) and Financial Economics for Insolvency Lawyers (Erasmus University Rotterdam). He has been working at Nexus Lawyers since 2022. Before that, he worked at a large Amsterdam law firm, where he was also appointed receiver by the court.

Pieter is registered in the register of jurisdictions for insolvency law. He is required by the standards of the Dutch Bar Association to obtain ten training points annually for each registered area of law.

He is a member of the Association of Insolvency Lawyers (INSOLAD).
